Arti & Gautam - Mendhi & Sangeet (November 20,2008)

Ok I have no excuse for taking so long to blog about these images. I admit it, I have been a slacker! I am proud to say though that I got Arti & Gautam's edited disc of images in the mail on Monday. That is some seriously quick turn around time for me... less than a month from the wedding. Yes, I am THAT good! :)

Anyhow... this isn't about me. It is about an amazing party celebrating Arti & Gautam. It was a night of song and dance with friends and family and I couldn't have had more fun.

I am going to start you out with some detail shots that Susan (my amazing second shooting for this event) and I got.

A few portraits before Gautam and his family arrived:

Arrival of Gautam and his family:

I love how happy and beautiful Arti looks in these next 3 images. She is just radiating!

To kick off the party, Arti did a dance for her groom, followed by a performance by her sister, and then another by her sister and cousin.

After that Atri's sister and cousin did a skit that was basically making fun of Gautam, detailing their coutrship and then future as a married couple. It was hilarious even if it was all in Hindi!

I LOVE this shot of Gautam!

Atri getting her amazing wedding Henna done:

Dancing! The second picture is Gautam's mother. I love how expressive she was, always laughing and smiling!

Arti & her mom:

Near the end of the night the 2 families broke up and played a game where they took turns singing. I think it was a competition to see who was best. I think Gautam's family stole the show.

How sweet are they?

Stay tuned soon for images from the wedding day!

:)

All the decor was done by the amazing talent of Partyland Flowers & Decor who happen to be relatives of Arti! Everything was just stunning!

And amazing catering by Tandoori Nights! YUM SOOOOOOOO GOOD!
